The last two days have been quite busy with the family (as well as moving my blog to a new server), so I haven’t had a chance to do any editing. I did have a chance to go out and do some shooting though. These are images straight out of the camera, but they illustrate the quality of the lens. I pretty much shot it at f/2.8 constantly. It’s as sharp as any pro level 24-70mm f/2.8 lens out there, perhaps even better. It definitely feels more solid in the hand. One thing is for sure, the lens and camera combo are quite heavy!

On to the images – this past Sunday we went to the Ballard Farmer’s Market in Seattle. I had two hungry kids in tow the majority of the time, and didn’t have a lot of opportunity to get too creative or use the best technique when shooting. New Years Eve, we went to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium for Zoo Lights. It was pouring rain and quite windy. The shots from there were in very low light and with water on the lens. Moreover, I was wearing gloves and trying to keep up with the family (i.e. also not the best photographic technique).
